About
Helen Ziga – Mixed Media / Relief & Wall Sculpture Artist
Helen Ziga works with galleries, collectors, and designers for exhibitions, acquisitions and representation opportunities.
Raised by an educator mother and chemist father, Helen Ziga developed an early love for art, literature, nature, and science. This foundation carried her through a BA from Albright College, and an MFA from Ohio University. Her work – spanning painting, drawing, relief, wood, paper, and paint – has been exhibited across the U.S., including at KAI LIN ART (Atlanta, GA), the Curators (Paris, France), the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, the Oceanside Museum of Art (Oceanside, CA), MOCA GA (Atlanta, GA), Ventura College (Ventura, CA) and the Abington Art Center (Abington, PA) and the Limner Gallery (Hudson, NY). She previously belonged to Philadelphia’s cooperative Zone One Gallery, participated in the Emerging Artist Program at the Drawing Center in New York and is currently participating in the Art Files Gallery at the Painting Center in New York.

Ziga has sold work through Zone One Gallery Philadelphia, the Torpedo Factory Arlington, ARC Chicago, as well as many art auctions local to the Atlanta area. Her pieces belong to private and institutional collections, including Helen Ballard of Ballard Designs and the Albright College Women’s Center. She currently has work in a long-term placement at the Hamilton Hotel (Curio Collection by Hilton) in Alpharetta, GA.
She taught art and graphic design, chaired the Art Institute of Atlanta Gallery, worked in textile and graphic design in China and Taiwan, and managed creative projects for a global healthcare technology company. She later worked at the Hambidge Center for the Arts and Sciences located in Raybun Gap, GA and collaborated with the Urban Art Collective in Chamblee, GA to support the local arts.
Since 2022, Ziga has focused fully on her studio work. She has worked out of studios at the Urban Art Collective in Chamblee, GA and the Atlanta Street Art Collective in Roswell, GA. Her current practice is at her home in Marietta, GA, where she can easily work indoors or outside.
